About the Standards:

  • ISO 22000:2018: This international standard specifies the requirements for a food safety management system (FSMS). It ensures food safety throughout the food chain, from farm to fork, by integrating the principles of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system and application steps developed by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. ISO 22000:2018 combines the ISO 9001 approach to quality management with HACCP to provide an effective framework for the development, implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of a FSMS.
  • FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000): Based on ISO 22000, this standard includes additional requirements to meet Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards. It is designed for food manufacturers and covers food safety management systems, food safety prerequisite programs, and additional FSSC-specific requirements.
  • BRC (British Retail Consortium): The BRC Global Standards for Food Safety provide a framework for managing product safety, integrity, legality, and quality, as well as the operational controls for these criteria in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing, and packing industry.
  • IFS (International Featured Standards): IFS Food is a standard for auditing food safety and quality of processes and products of food manufacturers. Recognized by the GFSI, it is used to assess manufacturers’ compliance with food safety regulations and customer specifications.
